🎅 Christmas Meat “Knots”


    Christmas Meat “konts” are one very interesting recipe that you can make for the holidays.

    It can be a beautiful holiday breakfast or a snack. The cup of tea or hot milk are very good idea with this soft “knots”.

    As their name suggests, dough knots are made and then wrapped in a fragrant addition of minced meat.

    They are very soft, fragrant and warm, just like the holidays in our home.

    1. Put 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
    2. Add chopped onion, celery and garlic. Fry 10 minutes.
    3. Add meat and cook 8 minutes. Stirring frequently. Add thyme and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
    4. Transfer contents to a large bowl and set aside until completely cool.
    5. While topping cools, make knots.
    6. Put the yeast in milk and water with sugar. Let the yeast make a foam.
    7. Mix the flour, salt and yeast mixture.
    8. Add the olive oil and knead the dough.
    9. On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into 2 even pieces.
    10. Working with one piece at a time, roll or stretch into an strip about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide.
    11. Cut it crosswise into 12 strips.
    12. Repeat with other half of dough.
    13. Tie each strip into a knot.
    14. Grease the baking dish with oil.
    15. Dip each knot in a bowl with the meat and arrange in the baking dish.
    16. Transfer knots to baking dish.
    17. Preaheat oven to 425 F (220°C) and bake until golden about 25-30 minutes.
    18. When knots are almost ready, melt 2 tablespoon of butter in the microwave.
    19. Remove knots from oven and immediately brush on butter.
    20. Serve with sauce on the side and enjoy!
    21. Tips: Serve with gravy and cranberry sauce for Christmas dinner.
