    Instructions
    1. Chop the onion. Cut mushrooms into slices.
    2. Whisk together flour, salt, pepper, thyme, garlic powder and 2 cups of the chicken broth until smooth.
    3. Melt butter in a soup pot over medium high heat.
    4. Add onions and mushrooms and saute for 4-5 minutes, or until tender.
    5. Pour flour and spice mixture into pot and stir to combine.
    6. Add remaining broth and bay leaf and stir to combine.
    7. Bring to a boil, and stir for 1-2 more minutes.
    8. Reduce heat and add half and half and stir to combine.
    9. Simmer for 10 minutes.
    10. Remove bay leaf before serving.
    11. ENJOY!!
